Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) has awarded France-based Alstom an order worth ₹3,200 crore to deliver 156 Movia metro cars for Bhopal and Indore metro rail projects. The contract also includes comprehensive maintenance and installation of latest generation of Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling system. The trains will be built at Alstom's Gujarat facility.
