Amar Jawan Jyoti to be put out after 50yrs, merged with National War Memorial flame: Report
The Amar Jawan Jyoti flame at India Gate will be extinguished after 50 years and merged with the flame at the National War Memorial on Friday, PTI quoted military officials as saying. The Amar Jawan Jyoti was constructed as a memorial for Indian soldiers martyred in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the National War Memorial in 2019.
