Two NASA interns have discovered a new planet named K2-288Bb, that is roughly twice the size of planet Earth, using data from NASA's Kepler space telescope. They re-analysed Kepler's data and found evidence of the planet that its software had overlooked. The planet, located 226 light-years away in constellation Taurus, is expected to be similar to the gas-rich planet Neptune.
