India cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin, on his YouTube channel, praised Ruturaj Gaikwad for his recent performances and stated that it's only a matter of time before the 25-year-old "sets the world stage on fire". Ashwin, however, also added, "Whom will Ruturaj replace...look at whom he's competing with. Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and we have Rishabh Pant opening as well."
