Amazon on Wednesday announced 71 new renewable energy projects across the world to generate 2.7 gigawatts of clean energy. The company's entire renewable energy portfolio now consists of 379 projects. The portfolio will generate 50,000 gigawatt hours of clean energy, Amazon said, adding that this is the equivalent amount of electricity needed to power 4.6 million US homes each year.
