Amazon, on Thursday, announced electric automaker Rivian and JB Straubel-led recycling startup Redwood Materials as its first recipients of the $2 billion Climate Pledge Fund. In June, the company had said it would invest in sustainable technologies to reach its goal of net zero carbon by 2040. Other recipients of the fund include CarbonCure Technologies, Pachama and Turntide Technologies.
