Amazon blocked OpenAI’s ChatGPT and other tools from accessing or training on its marketplace data. It has restricted employees and third parties from allowing OpenAI tools to access seller information, product listings, consumer behaviour insights, and other internal datasets. This impacts the recently launched Shopping Research tool, which can no longer scan prices, reviews or deals on Amazon.
