US-based startup Standard Cognition launched its first checkout-free store 'Standard Market' in San Francisco before Amazon Go's launch in the city. The store uses AI-based technology to allow consumers to shop without scanning and stopping to check out. A camera system tracks the items users pick and sends them a receipt via email once they leave the store.
