Amazon in talks to acquire Sequoia-backed Tapzo for $40 mn

Amazon India's payments unit, Amazon Pay, is reportedly in talks to acquire Sequoia-backed all-in-one app Tapzo for $40-45 million in a cash-and-stock deal. As part of the acquisition, Tapzo's Founders, Ankur Singla and Vishal Pal Chaudhary, are likely to join the Amazon Pay team. Founded in 2010, Tapzo offers different services, including categories like cabs, food, recharge and bill payment.
