Amazon is in early discussions to invest $10 billion in OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, according to people familiar with the matter. The potential deal, still fluid, could value OpenAI at more than $500 billion and deepen ties by combining funding with use of Amazon’s AI chips and cloud services. This is as OpenAI expands ahead of a possible future IPO.
