Amazon invests ₹4,472.5 crore in three Indian subsidiaries

Global e-commerce giant Amazon has invested ₹4,472.5 crore in three of its Indian units, regulatory filings showed. It invested ₹3,400 crore in its online marketplace arm Amazon Seller Services, ₹900 crore into payments arm Amazon Pay India and ₹172.5 crore into food retailing unit Amazon Retail India. Notably, Amazon Seller Services' losses fell 9.5% year-on-year to ₹5,685 crore in 2018-19.
