Amazon.com is teaming up with De Beers' unit to grow artificial diamonds. Quantum networking uses subatomic matter to deliver data in a way that goes beyond today's fibre-optic systems. The diamonds would be part of a component that lets data travel farther without breaking down. De Beers' Element Six division will be working on the project with Amazon Web Services.
