The world's biggest online retailer Amazon, on Thursday reported a ninefold increase in its net income to $857 million in the quarter ended June, against $92 million in the year-ago period. The company also saw a 31.1% rise in its net sales to $30.4 billion. Further, operating income was $1.3 billion, compared to $464 million in the previous year period.
