An internal 2018 Amazon document shows it partnered with an arm of China's propaganda apparatus to create a selling portal on its US site to sell books on China, Reuters reported. The project was seen as crucial by Amazon to win support in China as it grew its Kindle device. Amazon said the portal is to serve its Chinese readers.
