E-commerce giant Amazon had raised $54 million from its IPO in 1997, valuing the firm at $438 million. At present, Amazon is valued at $342 billion, almost 800 times more than its value at the IPO. The company founded by Jeff Bezos started its journey as an online book seller in 1994.
