Amazon has closed online fabric store Fabric.com which was launched in 1999. Amazon acquired the store in 2008, saying this would give its crafting customers more variety to choose from. "As part of our regular business planning, we continually evaluate the progress and potential of our offerings and have made the decision to close Fabric.com," Amazon spokesperson Betsy Harden said.
