Amazon suspended Palestinian engineer Ahmed Shahrour after he posted messages on Slack criticising the company's ties to Israel. Shahrour, who works for Amazon's Whole Foods business, also sent letter to Amazon executives, including CEO Andy Jassy. He urged Amazon to drop Project Nimbus, a $1.2 billion cloud computing contract that aims to provide Israel with AI tools and data centres.
