Amazon will shut down its UK-based global online bookstore Book Depository. The announcement comes amid Amazon's efforts to reduce its workforce to reduce costs. The bookseller stated that it will cease operations on April 26 but continue to provide support to customers with their orders until June 23. The company was bought by Amazon in 2011.
