Ambati Rayudu, who quit the YSRCP after joining it less than 10 days ago, had evinced interest in a Rajya Sabha seat. However, the YSRCP wanted to field him from the Guntur Lok Sabha seat, which Rayudu claimed as his native place. Sources said his displeasure arose when the party considered others for the constituency.
