Ed Gilligan, president of financial services multinational company American Express, died suddenly on Friday after falling ill while flying on a corporate plane to New York. Gilligan (55), who was returning from a business trip, reportedly had a heart attack. "This is deeply painful and frankly unimaginable for all of us", American Express CEO Ken Chenault said.
