US biotechnology firm Amgen said it would cut nearly 450 jobs, or less than 2% of its workforce. The company cited pressure on drug prices and high levels of inflation as the reason. This makes it the company's second round of layoffs this year after Amgen laid off about 300 employees in January as part of organisational changes.
