Amid new COVID high, S Korea halts quarantine exemptions

As South Korea recorded a new high of 5,266 daily COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) has halted quarantine exemptions. "South Korea will require a 10-day quarantine for all inbound travellers for two weeks starting Friday," KDCA stated. This comes after five cases of Omicron variant were reported on Wednesday.
