Speaking at an event on Thursday, Home Minister Amit Shah said, "We are confident that on a base of 3 million ton we are fully ready to move to a 5 million ton economy." Shah meant to say that India is moving towards a $5-trillion economy from a $3-trillion one. Notably, the government is targeting a $5-trillion economy by 2025.
