On the basis of 58 case studies of alleged atrocities by the armed forces in Jammu and Kashmir, Amnesty International has called for the abrogation of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) from the state. Amnesty researchers had interviewed the family members in these 58 cases, who held the armed forces responsible for losing their dear ones.
