Amravati NICU deaths may be due to suffocation, says doctor

Dr Tushar Palve, Dean of Cama Hospital, said the three newborns who died in the Amravati NICU fire may have died from suffocation rather than burns. He cited possible smoke buildup due to poor ventilation and high oxygen levels. He stressed regular maintenance of ventilators and electrical equipment, along with proper ventilation and fire safety measures in NICUs.
