Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said the AN-32 transport aircraft crash in Jorhat that led to the loss of five Indian Air Force personnel may have been due to a technical issue. He added that the Assam government is awaiting a detailed report of the incident from the deputy commissioner. The crash took place at the Jorhat Air Force Station.
