Renuka Shahane recalled that after 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!' released, she met an old lady who was happy to see her alive. "[She] touched my face...had tears in...eyes," Renuka shared and added, "[People] were shocked by my death...some of them had to meet me in person to overcome that trauma." Renuka played the role of Pooja in the film.
