Mahindra Group Chairman, Anand Mahindra, has warned of an imminent skilled labour crisis. Calling it "far bigger crisis" than AI-led job displacement, he claimed this stems from society's imbalance of pushing degrees/desk jobs to top of the "aspirational" ladder and skilled trades to the bottom. Quoting Ford CEO Jim Farley, Mahindra noted that US has millions of vacant labour roles.
