Ancient DNA finds lost population near Paris replaced by strangers

Scientists at the University of Copenhagen analysed remains of 132 individuals from a megalithic tomb near Paris and found no genetic continuity between those buried before and after a decline. The results point to a major population replacement around 3000 BC, with earlier groups linked to Stone Age farmers and later individuals showing ties to southern France.
