An ancient Durga idol has been recovered from the Jhelum River in Baramulla, north Kashmir, by a fisherman. The sculpture has been handed over to the Archaeology Wing in Srinagar for examination and preservation. Police said such discoveries highlight Kashmir’s rich heritage and urged citizens to report historical finds promptly.
