Humans ate children some 8.5 lakh years ago, researchers stated after a human neck bone belonging to a child aged between two and four years old with clear butchery marks on the neck was discovered at the Gran Dolina cave site. Notably, the body parts belong to Homo antecessor, believed to be last common ancestor of Homo sapiens and Neanderthals.
