Ancient Roman coins discovered on Japanese island

Archaeologists have discovered ancient Roman coins among the ruins of the Katsuren Castle on Okinawa island, Japan. The coins are estimated to date back to 400 AD, and some bear inscriptions of Rome's Emperor Constantine I. Researchers have previously found coins which may date back to the Ottoman Empire at the site known to have been a trading point.
