Ancient woolly mammoth remains found in Bulgaria's Danube river
The remains of an ancient woolly mammoth were found on a riverbed in Bulgaria after the Danube river's water levels fell to a record low amid heatwaves and drought. Experts from Ruse's Regional History Museum identified a lower jaw, two tusks, and a rib among the remains. The bones will be further examined to establish their age and origin.
