The Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday sanctioned 290 additional posts in the Chief Minister’s Security Group (CMSG) in order to beef up the security of CM N Chandrababu Naidu. The Home department has stated that the decision was taken after considering the threats issued to Naidu by Maoists. “The present strength of 196 CMSG personnel is grossly insufficient,” it added.
