Andhra declares new state symbols after T'gana bifurcation

Andhra Pradesh has declared separate state symbols after it was bifurcated to create Telangana in 2014. It declared Blackbuck as state animal, adding that it was symbolic of the state's ability to "take charge in uncertain situations and rise victorious". While Neem was chosen as state tree, Jasmine was selected as state flower. Rose-ringed parrot was declared state bird.
