Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the first Disha police station in East Godavari District to handle crimes against women and children and to ensure speedy investigation of sexual assault cases. The police station was established under the Disha Act which was passed by state assembly in December after a 27-year-old veterinarian was raped and murdered in Hyderabad.
