Andhra girl dies, 52 fall ill after taking tablets administered during anti-malaria drive
A seven-year-old girl died after falling ill following the distribution of chloroquine tablets to prevent malaria in a village in Andhra Pradesh. As many as 52 others are being treated at a hospital and a local health centre. Officials said 71 people in Gollaguppa village had been given anti-malaria tablets. CM Chandrababu Naidu has ordered a probe in the matter.
