Andhra notifies new liquor policy, expects to generate ₹5,500 cr revenue

Andhra Pradesh government notified a new liquor policy, allowing private retailers to sell alcoholic beverages on the lines of Haryana and others. The new policy, set to be implemented on October 12, 2024, aims to generate approximately ₹5,500 crore in revenue, according to the government's notification. Under the new policy, state will introduce low-cost liquor options priced at ₹99.
