Andhra Pradesh has given its approval to the Centre for the establishment of India's first National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) in the state. The approval comes 4 years after the idea of NIMZ was first proposed. According to estimates, the NIMZ will attract investments worth Rs 43,500 crore creating 20,500 direct and 29,200 indirect jobs.
