Vedanta's billionaire Chairman Anil Agarwal claimed his conglomerate was "informed in writing" that it'd won the bid to acquire bankrupt Jaiprakash Associates (JAL). "But life is never so simple. After some days, decision was changed," Agarwal wrote on X. "When something is promised in 'dharma', it shouldn't be taken back. In our scriptures also, we see this [repeatedly]," he added.
