Anil Kumble named head coach of Indian team

Former captain Anil Kumble was named the head coach of the Indian team on Thursday for a one-year period. The decision was made after BCCI's advisory panel consisting of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, and VVS Laxman interviewed 21 candidates for the job. Kumble, who is the third highest wicket-taker in Test cricket history, played for India from 1990 to 2008.
