Animal-like sunspot twice the size of Earth captured

A set of newly released images captured by ALMA telescope has revealed an animal-like sunspot, measuring nearly twice as large as the diameter of the Earth. A sunspot is a transient feature that occurs in regions where the sun's magnetic field is extremely concentrated and powerful. It is lower in temperature, making it appear relatively darker than the surrounding regions.
