Animal's pupil reveals its ecological nature

A study by the University of California and Durham University has found that the shape of an animal's pupil reveals whether it is a prey or a predator. Pupils shaped like vertical slits are more likely to be predators such as cats and crocodiles. The pupil of preys is usually horizontal and elongated in shape.
