IPS officer Ankush Shinde has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad Police. He will replace Krishna Prakash, who has been transferred to Mumbai as special inspector general of police (VIP security). Also, Sandeep Karnik has been appointed as the joint commissioner of police for Pune City and will succeed Dr Ravindra Shisve.
