Activist Anna Hazare has threatened to go on an indefinite hunger strike from July 5 if the Maharashtra government does not withdraw amendments made to the RTI rules. The amendments allow the state to frame rules on some aspects. A group of activists issued a legal notice to the state government demanding that the amendments be withdrawn within 15 days.
