Locust swarms may attack the country's Kharif crops in late June and early July, KL Gurjar, Deputy Director of the Locust Warning Organization (LWO), said on Tuesday. "There is every possibility that locust swarms will come from African countries along with monsoon winds rising from the Arabian Sea," he added. He said summer and rainy weather is favourable for locusts.
