Antarctica has a red-coloured waterfall

The Blood Falls in Antarctica resemble blood, as red-coloured water cascades down Taylor Glacier. The colour is the result of high iron levels in the source, which is a pool buried 1,300 feet underneath the ice. The blood-red waterfall was first discovered in 1911, while scientists earlier believed that red algae had resulted in the hue.
