Antarctica records its hottest temperature ever

An Argentine research base in Antarctica has recorded the hottest temperature ever for the continent, with the thermometer reading 18.3 degree Celsius. This beats Antarctica's previous record of 17.5 degree Celsius, set in March 2015. "(This) is not a figure you would normally associate with Antarctica even in the summertime," World Meteorological Organization's spokeswoman Clare Nullis said.
