Anthropic apologised after its new Claude Fable 5 model faced backlash for silently degrading responses on AI development queries without notifying users, Moneycontrol reported. Stating it made wrong tradeoff, the company said it'll now make safeguard notifications visible. Researchers alleged curbs were meant to block rivals, while several users said even harmless science questions were refused.
