Anthropic is in early talks to buy AI inference chips from UK-based startup Fractile, reports said. These inference chips rely on static RAM and are designed to run trained AI models more efficiently. The move comes as part of Anthropic's strategy to diversify suppliers, reduce reliance on dominant chip suppliers such as NVIDIA, and cut rising computing costs.
